I wrote this poem back in 1995, eight years into praying that God would bless us with children – and six years before our first child was born. The video is of our second child learning to walk. He’s been taking a few steps all week. Of course, that means it’s been a week of bumps and bruises. He’s learning to stand without losing his balance and to walk without falling. and steps of faith will, too.
I move from doubt to take one now,
in just the thought of you.

The video of Luke's first steps is so special and I like having your poem with it. Both are a reminder to me of your continued faith and gratitude to God.
Wow! Of all the poems and songs of yours that I've heard or read, this poem is the most powerful.

That line brought tears to my eyes, thinking back to all those painful years for you guys. Awesome poem, Chip. Awesome poem!
