Imagine my surprise as I drove to work this morning and saw the pastor's message for this weekend!
"I would rather lay my soul asoak in a half dozen verses of the Bible all day than to only rinse my hand in several chapters." - Spurgeon
"Work like it all depends on you and pray like it all depends on God" (this is something my Dad once told me)
From I Peter 4:1-2 in The Message:
"Since Jesus went through everything you're going through and more, learn to think and act like him. Think of your sufferings as a weaning away from the old sinful habit of always expecting to get your own way. Then you'll be able to live out your days free to pursue what God wants instead of being tyrannized by what you want."
