We had a baby dedication at our church today - Mother's Day - and we decided to have our son dedicated to the Lord again. A child can never have too much prayer, right? We dedicated him six months or so ago at Cool Springs Baptist where he was the only child dedicated. Today was a group dedication. I mumbled a little something which is exerpted here. I spoke of how long we prayed for children and how faithful God is. I also shared that God impressed upon my heart at the beginning of Melody's pregnancy that this child's faith would be beautiful and that he would grow to be a generous man.
We sat through many Mother's Day dedication services like this while we were waiting for our miracle. It was always a sad time. So it was a sweet blessing to be able to do this today.
