Phil Keaggy's Bible Story

Phil Keaggy was one of the first Christian artists I took to heart when I started following the Lord. I enjoyed hearing this part of his testimony again.

Nice post Chip. Phil is starting to look old, with his gray/white hair and all. But listening to his voice is like listening to the voice of a friend from another time.

I'm sorry I've not commented on your other recent posts. Lots of good stuff there. But I've not been into blogs much in the last couple of weeks. I can't believe you still have the Sigma guitar. I would have thought that with the Larrivee all others would have been forsaken.

I don't play my acoustic much these days. Now that I play bass at church, my Larrivee rarely sees the light of day. And that's a real shame.

Rodney, I've neglected my acoustic for awhile as well, especially over the last 10 months or so since Luke was born. When he was newborn I had to be quiet. Now that he's mobile, he jumps on me everytime I'm trying to play. So I try to play just 3 songs each night after the kids are asleep. Often that turns into 10. I'm trying to get my rhythm chops back. There are several old songs I've forgotten the unique strum patterns to. As for Sigma vs. Larivee: The Larivee has the sweetest tone, but the Sigm has the best action. I need to lower the action on my Larivee but I'm scared to mess with it. I wish I could take it back to whats-his-name in Boone who we bought it from who had the little guitar repair shop.
