We've been attending a new church in Sanford: Brick City Community Church (Sanford is a brick plant town, once called "The Brick Capital of the World").

Today the pastor had a sort of vision planting time and he challenged us to really get involved in the life of the church and in outreach to the community. As he shared I kept thinking of being on that slow, rattling, steep climb to the top of the first hill of a huge roller coaster. I'm a little apprehensive. I've been mostly sitting up in the stands as a spectator in two Southern Baptist churches for the last five years or so. Mostly, though, I'm excited and looking forward to plunging once again into the ride of a lifetime - fellowship and ministry within a body of true believers!
